So this is my first blog. I am only a few weeks away from the start of my year of service in England and I am dealing with so many emotions all at once. I am nervous and sad about leaving my family and friends for a whole year. I know that emotionally speaking, I can handle this new experience but I know it is going to be hard for me. The second emotion, jittery. I think this is mainly because I am finishing up work and also trying to get myself packed and ready to leave for a whole year. The third and most predominate emotion, EXTREME EXCITEMENT!!!! It just doesn't quite seem real but I just can't wait to get started and settled in at my new home for the next year. I have gotten to chat a little with Mat and Amy (my host family) and they seem like amazing people. My boss, Jonathan, is a really relaxed and hilarious! I just can't wait to write all about my adventures!
